17 Nov...removed tumors - both aft quarter panels and aft body panel.  L/H aft panel being fitted.  Started Mobil 1 I.V. with 30 drips per minute.

Thanks for the photos. It's interesting to see the repair process.

Yes it is..! More threads like this are needed so I don't have to deal with whiny people at work complaining about "bondo"

EDIT..

This is also a perfect example of showing how much work is involved in replacing a quarter panel and why repairing a panel is generally the best option versus putting in a new panel, just because new sounds better and the part that was in the car was " new" .

Here are several shots of the welded areas after clean up, but before sanding and priming.  We use Metal Glaze instead of the red bondo that you would see at Pepboys.  Metal Glaze is a very superior product in many aspects compared to bondo.

What do you guys think of the color "Pearl Black" for my bimmer instead of the original "Schwartz II jet black". The guys at GTI suggested the pearl Black and think it would look great on the car and I agreed but I would like some opinions and ideas. I have seen the sample but not the color on an actual car. Car should be painted next week and will be ready for show at the Dec.5th grand reopening.

Anyone with that color car and how do you like it?

thanks

eric.
