| You can rent one (with a slide hammer) from Autozone...but I had to file mine back a bit as it wouldn't fit in the hole...so I couldn't return it.

Use hydraulic pressure.
Find a socket that fits loosely into the bearing. Cover the butt end with electric tape make sure it still fits into the center of pilot bearing. Such a socket will be easy to find in any tool set.
Fill the area behind the bearing with grease. Put the socket into the bearing and hit the socket with a big rubber mallet until the hydraulic force pushes the bearing out. You may need to repack with grease during the operation.
It is much easier than it sounds and works great. I was skeptical too until I saw it in action.
