Guys and gals,

The club had two front wheel bearing tools as part of its loaner toolbox.

Unfortunately, one of them is missing (the E36/E46 one)...probably due to lack of use.  If you have used it, seen it, heard of it, whatever, please let me know by e-mailing me at nick@lscbmwcca.org.

For those of you with E30s the good news is, we still have that one

Thanks!

Nick

Now that we know this tool system doesn't work......lost tools, hard to find who has the tool etc etc.....I will put the offer out there one more time.  Lone Star Bavarian is willing to be the keeper of the tool box and what ever tools are left in it or may be added to it.  We have the ability and organization to keep track of, keep inventoried and be responsible for this "tool box".  I have absolutely no idea why this was not considered seriously in the past but here is the offer again.

Of note just in case anyone is thinking this....all of the "special tools" the club has in its tool box, either physically or in memory, we have in our inventory so being the keeper of the "tool box" is of no benefit to us.  Although, I might be inclined to donate to the box on occaision when we update or replace our tools(that is quite a benefit wouldn't you agree?).

If the chapter ever decides to take my offer seriously just let me know and I will explain how the whole system would work.

I have had been the keeper of the tools for the last few years.  I have yet to loose any tools.  The problem is, years ago, there was no control over them.

I have:

Peak Code reader

Airbag reset tool

e30 wheel bearing tool

Rear R-tab tools.

I also loan out my personal Engine brace. (Richie Yosten)

The thing I get asked the most for is a fender roller, not sure why we can’t get the funds to get one.

To my knowledge, all we are missing is the e36 front wheel bearing tool and I have never seen it.
