Wow, what a course!  While I didn't set a new top speed mark on this course, it was by far the overall fastest one I've run.  Into 3rd gear three different times, topping out in the low 90s!   I ran a 102.xxx on the 3rd run of the day; in the afternoon it was so hot I had to pull out of line and cool everything down for my final run.  Didn't make any difference, the RA-1s up front were so hot (and essentially at the end of their life) that I couldn't do any better than a 103.3xx in the afternoon.

Here's a video of my best run (3rd of the day).  Unfortunately I forgot to power up my mic, so there's no audio.

Have a good one,

"I'm hoping to make it, but I may have a conflict. Either way- last time at TMS I left a navy blue folding chair...Coleman I think, but I can't remember. I had to leave early because of my car troubles. It was navy blue with mesh cupholders in the arm rests. If anyone picked it up, could you let me know so I can arrange retreival?

Thanks!

Oops... just saw this message about the chair... We have a COLLECTION of forgotten chairs... they are all in the van. For some reason they all seem to be blue (??) If anyone is missing a chair, please just come ask any of the committee members. if you'd simply like a free chair (other than JPs of course).. simply ask a committee member

Results have been sent out as of 10 mins ago...

This was an adpated road course design... I think the committee as a whole feels that Mineral Wells really lends
itself to that type of course. Thanks to Scott for designing this one, I think it is the best course of the season by far!
We may have to run this course again someday in a cooler month..... Most of the top drivers did not gain any time in the afternoon... The pavement just was TOO HOT. I head that ambient temps increased 20+ degrees from the morning runs to the afternoon runs, and I am sure the pavement was probably a 30+ degree change.

We have a guest designer working on a course for August.....

This was a fun course that took advantage of the whole pad at MW. What a blast.

Hey Mark, when you say that you sent out the results is there a broadcast email that I am missing of the results?

Wish I could have been there! I guess I'll have to pick my chair up at the next event, and hopefully I'll be able to make it when you re-run this course in the fall maybe....

I think the ol' 318is is now clutchless. I bled the slave, didn't help. I look the slave off and was able to start it in gear and it just idled and crept forward even at almost WOT. Sort of a weird way to fail I guess. The clutch has almost no clamping force. Weird. New clutch here by 2PM though.

Wow what a fun course !

Much much much MUCH better than last months TMS Mikey Mouse layout .

Kudos to Scott for coming up with this one , I'd love to see a return of this layout or a variation of it in the fall .

Glad everyone liked the course... I heard some grumbling until everyone drove it and then it was non-stop SMILES! I kinda dug it... I was able to squeeze out more time in the afternoon, too, FWIW...

Luke - I saw 95 mph pop up on your speedo just before I SLAMMED on the brakes and barely made that right sweeper on the long straight in that one, blissfull run I took in the 335... Holy CRAP that's a fast car! I think there was a 103.xxx out there for sure...

I'd rather be autocrossing...
