| When I park the car I keep my foot pressed down on the brake pedal until I pull the hand brake. Just as soon as the key clicks off the brake pedal pushes back at me regardless of how hard I push. It continues until it comes all the way up. I don't recall it being that way previously. The car is an E39, 540, sport 6 spd. Is something wrong, or is this normal and I'm just loosing my mind?

I hope its normal, because it happens on my 335i (6MT), and to a lesser extent on my Honda (AT). I *think* it has something to do with the handbrake braking for you, or something, but I would never call myself a mechanic  .
