My first post so if I'm breaking any rules, sorry.  My 335i couple will not continuously feed the seat belt caddy.  It only works about 1/2 the time.  The break pedal is "normally soft" and unusually "hard"--no pedal play--when starting the car.  Dealer says latter problem not an issue altho they had the car in for two days each on two different occasions.  Anyone experiencing these issues?

So when you pull slow and steady on the seat belt it wont feed?

Also the hard pedal is only while starting then it is soft?  I'm not sure I understand.

Are you referring to the seat belt automatically being pushed forward to make it easier for you to reach, or are you referring to being able to actually use the seat belt (pull enough belt out so you can lock it into the receiver next to your right thigh)?

I was wondering that as well.  Maybe he meant, it wont "automatically" feed the seatbelt, rather than continuously.

Either way- it seems it's probably something related to the B-pillar.  This begs the question: "Will BMW ever create a 3 series without a B-Pillar issue?"  I know the e46 and e90 both had issues with noise...seems maybe the e92 has mechanical?

I'd be interested to hear what the dealership says when you take it in to be looked at since I'm willing to bet it's still under that beautiful 4yr full service warranty.

Hmm, I'll have to tell my E46 it should have B pillar issues.

If I'm understanding it right, the brake pedal sounds like normal operation.

No, I mean the automatic seat belt "feeder" or what I called "caddy."  As soon as someone sits in the driver's or passenger's seat the seat belt is supposed to be automatically pushed out to them.  It only works about 1/2 of the time.

The pedal:  sometimes when I push down on the brake pedal to start the car, it is soft as normal.  But about half of the time the brake pedal is very hard and will not go down very far at all.  The car still starts and then the brake pedal becomes normal.

Both of these issues have been dealt with at the dealer unsuccessfully.
