| I am thinking of getting one of those $1200 e30 turbo kits for my car. Has anyone here done this? It seems like a good deal, though you do have to fabricate your own downpipe - not a big deal. Thanks for any and all info.

| All I know is hearsay (from folks who know though). They say it is very difficult to the get the mixture correct on aftermarket turbo setups w/o the proper ECU/chip/MAF/tuning. I imagine the AFM would only make this more difficult (I assume you meant for E30), but hey, its a cheap motor anyway, so let it rock. I'd love to see one in action first hand. North Texas Wed? Trent

| Thanks, Trent. That's what I've heard - some customization is required not only for plumbing but also engine management. Maybe I'll sleep on it awhile. As far as dargging this Wednesday - Next week is better for me. I hate to delay, but by then I'll have my new pimp-a-rific wheels/tires and will have unpacked my other ECU so I can slap the chip into it. OK by you?
