Has anyone else heard about the rash of stolen catalytic converters from vehicles around Dallas. Apparently there is platinum in the converters so creeps are using a cordless sawzall and cutting them out from under cars and trucks. At Saltgrass Steakhouse 2 were stolen at lunchtime. A co worker had his stolen yesterday from a public parking lot and was told the 15 were stolen the other day at Texas Stadium during the Idol tryouts. The crack attics get about $100. each but typical repair (pipes/converter) is about $1200.

I feel pretty safe on the M3.  They would need a jack to get under it and not just any jack either, something with a low min height.    I'll explain that to my wife next time the local roads rattle her teeth.  "But honey I'm protecting my cats."

The manifold the mechanic was holding up looked exactly like the ones out of an E46, non-M. Anyways, I replaced my stock manifolds/cats, now how do I sell them and get my $100?
