Hello.   Nice how we help set the offsets and cut our teeth on them, then everyone decides to start selling them.   "That's bidness" as they say.  I talk to Rob (UUC) fairly regularly, not a big deal really.

BTW, we have a pallet of wheels due in next week.

For grins we put 18x10s with 285s on what is affectionately known as "Bessie" (future LS1 donor) last night.  Granted, this car isn't lowered nor does it have rolled fenders, not even coilovers yet.  Up front, no problem.  A 10mm spacer and some camber it fits "easily" with no fender liner.  haha.  Rear, with some severe rolling we could make it fit.  We've already proven that a 265 fits no problem.  Bessie will get very mild flares and 285/30-18 710 Kumhos to keep it narrow unlike the Alpha car that has 315s on that back.

Someone posts about UUC (selling something we've had for a year) in a Local Vendors section of this DFW forum...

Nice.

Dont want to come off as a jerk, but my pocket is in my best interest at the end of the day. What I failed to post is that they are promoting free shipping till end of month. There after, yes it may be better to just get them from vorshlag cost wise but one has to factor taxes. As far as convienience, local pick up, seeing the product in person, and any follow up issues with spacers or fender rolling, again it may be better to get them local.

Free entreprise right? thats why we love america!

I don't think anyone is arguing with the fact that you posted a deal..  saving on shipping is probably nice.. but...  UUC does not qualify as a local vendor

why not check with the vorshlag guys to see if they can match the deal?  I always prefer a local vendor where I may be able to get additional services in the future.  Also, if I have an issue, I can contact a local vendor a lot more easily..

just a few thoughts.. carry on!

Oooh good point!

I didnt catch that angle in Terry's post even tough it was in bold.

Anyway, you can get free shipping AND no waiting from Vorshlag if you just go pick it up.

Does the Local Vendors section really mean the vendor has to be local? I never thought of it that way. Its not my call but it would seem to me that the term "local" may have just crept into the title w/o consideration of the consequences.

I've always considered the vendor section as
