Hey guys,
I've probably mentioned this at some point, but we have created our own E36/46 motor mounts.  The pricing will be $129/set for the month of October, $159 after that.  These mounts were on our daily driven STU car (2nd place in Open and 1st in Ladies) and on Bob Tunnell's StreetMod winning TwinScrew M3.  They are in our catalog for ordering.  Took some initial pics...

You can see that we index the base just like the OEM mounts and have holes for the heat shield.

Why do I need motor mounts?

-Stock mounts sag over time changing the geometry of your shifter.  Having problems shifting into gear at a light?  It could be your motor mounts.

-Money shift:  Stock mounts are part of the issue of missed shifts.  Take the slop out of the drivetrain.

Will these mounts add NVH (Noise, Vibration, Harshness)?

At idle, yes.  Especially with the A/C on.  The mounts are almost imperceptible above 1000 rpm.

Regards,
Brian

Very nice piece. Nice work.

Of course I don't need them but was curious about the milky material.

Is it hard nylon or some softer material?

It's unobtanium.

I have had these for several months and have to say that they are one of the best mods I have done in many years.  Huge improvement.

It's unobtanium. .

It's that or it's shinted beronrium (with a long "o") which is just a bit cheaper.

It has the strength of unobtainium and the cost of beronrium.

Very nice work! Are y'all going to SEMA this year? If so, we might run into y'all, as we'll be there poking around...

I'd rather be autocrossing...

NICE design, simple and strong. Very appealing. This looks like a good idea that should really catch on, hopefully.

I can back you up on the old saggy mount issue. I've swapped mine out recently(with another OE set) and got the engine just high enough to get the old ones out...that didn't leave enough room to get the new ones in. I compared the other side before I put the new one in and I could see a difference of about 1/4". That's doesn't sound like much but then again the mount isn't very tall either.

EDIT- I would add that it's probably a good idea to replace tranny and engine mounts at the same time or you can have Arts and Crafts day with JB Weld like Will did up in OK.

So,, It sounds like one must have an "A" frame lift and a really complete understanding of what to disconnect, and lift so that the instalation and reconnect goes rite.. Right??   Not a DIY at Autoscope type project.  what does "Vorschlag" charge to install??
