Thanks. Unfortunately there's no spare on the E90. Just one of the tires falls below the minimums, but I don't want to replace just one. They're off due to an out of cycle replacement a few months after I got the car that was caused by a nail in the sidewall.

Finally got the tires squared away and my HPFP started failing Saturday morning. I hadn't gotten the recall done, yet, so I called and got an appointment to get it done yesterday. Picked her up this morning and she's driving like she's brand new again! All set for the weekend, now.

I wanted to thank everyone for coming out over the weekend, We had a great turnout! We had great driving weather on Saturday, and one run for Sunday morning, before the rains came, and stayed.

Hopefully everyone had a great time despite the weather, and will soon be back. We had a lot of new people in Green, which is encouraging for future events.

Thanks to Steve Hodges (DE Chair), Matt Dashiell (Registration), and Steve and my significant others, for sticking out gate duty through the humidity, and rain.

A special thanks to Mark Williams, Doug Wirth, and Tony Washington, for some great in-car instruction.

Let's keep this pace up, and have an even bigger event in October!

I also would like to thank all the club members for coming to the HPDE. Sunday was kind of a bummer weather wise, but the faithful stuck it thru the rain and cold weather.
Will Atkinson was the classroom instructor and did a great job. I heard many remarks about how they actually learned something while in there.
The DE Staff ( Matt Dashiell, Michael Hollingsworth, Mark Williams, Bruce Herrsink, and myself) left Cresson very tired but pleased with the event.
We hope to see an even larger turnout for the October 8-9 event at MSR. Definitely CLOCKWISE with a possibility of doing the 3.1 if there is a lot larger turn out.

An other thanks goes out to all the instructors for giving there time on a weekend. Also thanks to all the corner workers and Mary Coney for keeping all of the students safe on the track.

Thank you all,
Steve Hodges

SEE YOU ALL IN OCTOBER!

Good times! (Well, Saturday at least.)

I'm glad I got the car ready in time ... it's a whole 'nother kind of animal, but I already think it's more fun to drive than my MINI was. And it's definitely going to be faster once I learn how to drive it. (Note to self: when taking a RWD car out for first time in rain, DO NOT try and keep pace with Garrity simply because you think you guys are in evenly matched cars. Spins and hilarity will ensue.)

The club race was good too ... nice first showing for Thomas. And damn, that SM e46 was FAAAAST!

Just a follow up. The NEXT HPDE is October 8/9. At MSR again, the difference is definitely the 1.7 clockwise, maybe the 3.1. What needs to happen? We need another 25 to 30 students to do the 3.1 to make it cost effective. The 1.7 clockwise it a totally different track than CCW so you would learn even more things. The 3.1 is AWESOME though. Make this happen people and the clubs HPDE program is back on solid footing again. We will open registration VERY soon.

I'd love to take my E92 328i Sport 6MT out to MSR.

I should know by 9/14 or so if I can make it for 10/8

I recently had EBC BLACKDASH CRYO SLOTTED rotors added, STOPTECH PADS, MOTUL RBF 600, upgraded tires(HTRZ IIIs - way more grip than the OE POTENZA RUNFLATS) on lighter and wider than OE wheels (forged TSW Nurburgrings 18x8 & 18x9.5).

How recent does the brake fluid need to be to pass tech inspection ?
