Louden Motorcars, a strong supporter of the Texas Chapter of the BMW CCA, is proud to provide us access to their shop including advice, assistance and counsel from their technicians and very special pricing for parts used that day to maintain and repair your personal car.  The fun details are:

·         October 16, 2010 from 8AM to Noon. At 11454 Reeder Road,  (972) 241-6326 Contact at Louden is James Moore

·         Management and 2-3 BMW trained technicians available to you

·         As needed, BMW diagnostic equipment can be used by Louden Technicians to diagnose your car such as check engine and ABS diagnostic equipment. . .

·         Please bring your own tools to complete your repair. Some shop equipment will be available as well.

·         Bring parts you need to repair your car as planned.

·         SPECIAL PARTS OFFER from Louden:   Pre-ordered BMW parts at highly discounted pricing can be provided by Louden by request for the DIY.  You must order well in advance and pay for your parts.  No returns please.  This offer is limited to the parts you will use that day [no engine orders please]!

A general inspection of your car is offered.  Bring your car in and Louden Technicians can assist you in trying to diagnose general car issues you are experiencing such as noise, steering, suspension problems, AC, etc.

In order for you to participate, we need your name and a short description of what you will be doing; i.e.  Brakes, Spark plugs, etc. that will reserve your time at the shop.  Please RSVP to this add describing what you will be doing – all can learn from you work as well.

Please come and support our club.  Make sure to send us an email to bseidner@sbcglobal.net and register for the event [name and planned repair].  We hope to see you there!

Who else is attending the event?  Change your oil? Flush your brake fluid?  Fix your heater to get ready for the winter months?  Louden can help you get it done right.  Looking forward to seeing you Saturday at 8AM at Louden!!!

I would like to attend.  I have some work that would be much easier with a lift, but there's a BMWCCA AutoX on the same day.

Thanks to all that attended.  Although we had a very small turn out, we all benefitted from the experience.  Thanks to Louden for opening their shop, providing two technicians for every BMWCCA member, and for the coffee donuts cake wine and beer - kidding!

We need more people to attend these.  Keep in mind that this is not only your opportunity to fix you car, but to learn in parallel.  We all got a chance to see Louden pull the intake manifold off a 7 series to replace the valley pan gasket - was truely a learning experience!

Really wish I could have made this one. I still need to replace my drive shaft CV joint and subframe bushings, both of which would be much easier on a lift.....
