Lone Star Chapter BMW announces LSC BMWCCA AX #6 - Saturday August 7th

Course
Even if you've never tried autocross before, come on out at give it a try. Instructors are provided. Or, ask for a ride with an instructor to see if you might enjoy it. Rides with an instructor and admission are free!
More information can be found on the LSC BMWCCA website http://www.lscbmwcca.org/autocross-schedule.html, and if you want to drive in the event you must register. Cost is $30 for BMWCCA members, but non-members can register for $40 which allows you to try it out one time.
Event information and Directions

Registration for 2010 events will be 100% online. We will not accept payment on site! Online registration is available until 11PM the Thursday before each event and opens three Mondays prior to the event.
Tech Inspection
All participant vehicles must pass Tech Inspection on site.
Tech Inspection begins at 8am and will close at 9am.
Mandatory Driver's meeting at 9am.
First car will start around 9:30am.
Rides in instructor vehicles are free. A helmet must be worn. There are loaner helmets available for those that do not own their own helmet. (Helmets must be rated M-2000 or SA-2000 or newer)

Thanks Mike. Jerrett is the mad man helping me, well mostly designing the courses.
Hope you like the rip zone on the back section. I might tweak the finish on site. I really don't want too sharp of a turn.

Great video Mike!
Our times were very, very close. I had a good lap, when the tires hooked up well, and then they got greasy in the heat. Next time, I'll be back on my Nittos

I think I need to learn to drive better! I'll be on my same old grungy tires next time at MW. Hopefully the temperature will be something lower than the surface of the sun!

| Nice run and video, Ken. What kind of recorders are you running (both video and data)? Frankly I was too timid on my runs, a bad habit I've always fought. That's what makes autocross so fun for me, always places to improve! See y'all in September! Mike
