I notice at events like Cars & Coffee that there are gatherings of similar BMW models and they apparently have their own group. It's kind of frustrating that all of these BMW owners separate off into splinter groups for other models (they even have t-shirts). I've seen M3, 7 series owners, and I'm sure there's more. Maybe I'm wrong, but they probably just want a place where they can talk about their specific model issues. This doesn't seem to be the place. There's little traffic on the forum, and meetings seem to be lightly attended. People probably don't even check here or get announcements about meetings. People probably have trouble keeping up with more than a couple forums due to busy lives/working to pay for their BMWs, etc. Maybe we could add specific sections for the different BMW models. To start off:
2002
Classics
1 series
3 series
5 series
6/8 series
7 series
M
X series
Z series
Mini
Should they be split even further into various generations of car? I'm thinking not at first. I have no control over creating these, but I wanted to start up some discussion. There are so many BMW owners in DFW and yet it seems there isn't a lot of participating. There was a lot more back when this was an email list and not a forum, but I don't think the email list is ever coming back. Thoughts? Other suggestions?

We should also have a big add in our LSC publication to direct people here.
