I dont know why some of you continue to bash Autoscope. They have done great work for me, have been a huge sponsor of our club, continue to support our DEs with free inspections despite a few who don't seem to understand that a company needs to make money and do good work to be in business for long.
They have always been fair with me and done outstanding work. Im not sure what else you can ask for. Any company is going to have people that are never happy no matter what happens.

| Autoscope overcharged me. I noticed it after I paid with a check. They said they would send a check when they closed their books at the end of the month. It took about 5 months and around 8 emails to get back a whole $ 42.00. They replaced a head gasket on a Mercedes and swore it would last the lifetime of the car because they used a better gasket than the Merc dealers. A little after 2 years it was leaking oil big time. All they would offer was to pay for parts. A few bucks for parts, what a joke. I've heard warnings from several members, and we all know that at least one of us has filed suit against them.

Back on the discussion... I'll be doing a little test-n-tune this Sunday at the autocross and scrubbing in some new Hankook RS-2's (which are a great, very consistent tire on the track that proved good for 1.2 G's sustained at Spring Mountain on our well sorted Justacooper). Anyone else?
I'd rather be autocrossing...

I hope to be there as well...my car is back together and fully functional (as much as before) from what I can tell. I'll be testing the nut behind the wheel...to see if I remember how to use a clutch.

I can't imagine AMY mechanic saying ANY part will last forever..

| Oil, water, coolant. Autoscope put it up in the air and agreed it was the head gasket. The Merc dealer also agreed it was a head gasket and fixed it. Autoscope said they had a magical gasket and guaranteed it verbally. I accepted their word w/o drawing up a contract. That was my fault.

| Back on topic again, please. Brian Beckett won't be racing because he'll be working in Switzerland all month. I'm not racing because my engine is still sitting on a furniture dolly behind the car and I haven't had a free minute since getting back from Targa Newfoundland. I'll be there instructing and doing check rides, etc. Hanchey, you better bring bribes if you ever want to make it out of Novice! Richie, you sure you're ready? You might want to work on the car for a few more weekends, right? See you there. As I said, my car is in pieces, so hopefully I can rely on the charity of others to get a few laps in for the weekend. Looking forward to it gang. Will

| I think I've only actually worked on my car a total of 3 weekends this year. They were just spread out a bit...that's all. ...and that's a lot of smack for someone who keeps talking about how many pieces his car is in.
