I guess that would make for an 87-91 car.  If you know of one that needs a new home, or someone who wants to sell theirs and may or may not know it yet, point them my way!

Thanks all,

Chris Hunt

Chris,

I was just getting ready to write up a post for selling my '89 325i (2 door, with limited slip from an 325is added along with 1 leatherette Recaro seat and full black leatherette interior to replace original blue cloth that was in bad shape).  It has had a ton of mechanical maintenance done in the last 3 years that I've owned it (new clutch, guibo, motor mounts, tranny mounts, water pump, thermostat, timing belt, etc).  It runs and drives well.  It looks a 7 out of 10.  Has a few known problems (A/C is charged but doesn't work, heater core leaks so it is bypassed, power steering has been bypassed for years).  It has ~141k miles, but odometer stopped working about a year ago because I was stupid and reset it while the vehicle was moving and the little brittle plastic gear broke.  I can post or email pictures if you want.

MY E30 IS SOLD.  Within 6 hours of posting for sale on Craig's List I had 2 offers.  Turns out the guy who bought it is a co-worker of Jurgen's at Lockheed.  Small world indeed.

You snooze you lose, I guess.  I thought I had subscribed to this thread, but apparently not.  Haven't checked the forum lately, or I would have called you.

Oh well; still looking!  It has definitely not been easy.

Looks like I was able to secure a car.  Now the fun begins...

Thanks all, the chapter and this forum are immensely valuable.
