| Nice but I'd rather double my hp and still get 42mpg. 335d: 286bhp/428lb ft 3.0-litre six-cyl TDI twin-turbo, 6.0sec, 155mph, 42.2mpg, 177g/km

| I don't trust EPA mpg rating either....they have improved but I still think they are inaccurate. By comparison, my 335i gives me the following: City: 20 mpg with some lead foot occurrances Highway: 70 mph (heavily laden - family of 4 + a trunk full of luggage) - 30 actual mpg 80 mph with an occassional sprint to 90/100 (heavily laden - family of 4 + a trunk full of luggage) - 27-27.5 actual mpg Based on the UK rating we can guesstimate the real mpg. However I also understand that diesels give relatively better mpg in real life than the typical fuel efficiency rating. I won't be surprised if you see real world 40+mpg on the highway in the 335d.

| Good catch on the imperial gallons. The numbers from that article for the 335 gas are: 335i: 306bhp/295lb ft 3.0-litre six-cyl DI twin-turbo, 5.6sec, 155mph, 31.0mpg, 218g/km Converted from Imperial to US Gal it would be 25.8. Regardless of scale the 335 Diesel gets 33% more miles per gallon then the 335 gas. Too bad Diesel costs 10%+ more.
