Can anyone recommend a good, reasonably priced shop to install both the Turner Motorsport rear chassis and sway bar mount reinforcement kits in my e46 330? Is this better done by a BMW specialist or a good body shop?

Where are you located? Or try one of the sponsoring shops. All are capable of this mod.

If price is an issue, you might want to remove the rear subframe and have a welder come to you. You will probably get charged $500 at a shop. That is if this is the subframe kit and not just the swaybar kit.

| $500 at a shop sounds like a steal. When I spoke with TMS about their kit several months ago, they said they quote 15 hrs labor for the job (just for the subframe kit, not including the sway bar mounts).

I am thinking that if TMS sells and installs the product on a regular basis, and states that they charge 15 hours for this project, 2 hours of DIY time is not going to get the job done. In fact as a rule, most undercarriage work in the shop can be doubled in time when utilizing ramps, floor jacks and your back. Been there and done that, gots many scars, physically and mentally to show for it. I don't know exactly what you are trying to get installed or reinforced but once again I suggest one of the local supporting shops for a start. Eurosport is up your way, in Plano. There is also 911 and Louden down around 635 and Stemmons. All three of these are excellent shops and will either be able to competantly install or send you to right place for install. Let us all know where you end up and how it turns out.

Ok, if you can do all this in 2 hours (well maybe 4 since you'll have to put everything back together), you're hired.

You need to go back and read it. I can remove the rear subframe in about 2 hours. Not do the whole job.
