I want to know where the next best place is? I tend to need those services more often than I like to admit. But I don't know who I would trust outside of GTI.

I have a friend with a trained eye for paintwork who recommends Sewell Lexus as second best to GTI.
Note that it is Sewell LEXUS, which is NOT the same as Sewell Collision ( which is on Cedar springs).

The local S2000 club members swear by Sewell Lexus.  They do good work.

It's too bad Dan is not going to be doing body work anymore, but I'm sure his new business will do great.

Spoke with Jason (his paint guy) and he is planning on starting a small body shop.  I believe he and the body guy will be in it together.  He has been working at GTi for 14 years so I believe he knows the expectations of this crowd.  I told him do send me an e-mail when he has set up shop.

One of the great thing about GTi is that they use the same brand/formula of paint as they do in Europe.  I don't think that many other shops in the metroplex do.

Dan has been my body man for over 20 years now.

He has taken care of all my toys.

I remember the day like yesterday I went to pick up the 5er after some work on the left side and backed right in to that telephone poll.  I cried all the way home, I called him the next day told him that there was alpine white paint on that poll and now the right side needed fixing.

It as always fun stopping by to see what was in back, you never knew!

I’ve sent a lot of folks his way.

I’m going miss him and the shop.
