I have the skins, but not the rims. I am looking for 16" by 7" or 7.5" rims that have close to an e30 offset (25mm) with a 4 x 100 bolt pattern and are fairly light. Please call me at 310-753-5888 if you have some or have any intel on a set.

Thanks,

Danny

I'm sure you're aware, but 16" is not a common size for E30.

Got the timing belt done last weeked. Are you ready for an E30 shootout at Denton?

Why would 16" be unusual for an e30, they wouldn't have any clearance issues? Jeff Ireland told me the other day he uses 17" by 7" (et25mm) wheels with 235/40 tires on e30s lowered by 2". They seel sets of them for $580, but they look kinda strange and I have 16" tires already.

Kazera makes a wheel called the KZ-M they make in a 25mm offset that is light, cheap and looks OK. I just haven't seen one in 16" for some reason.

Trent I'm not sure if I can make drag racing this Wednesday, call me @310-753-5888 (lost your phone number). I would need to install my chip to see if it makes any difference. Plus I would really like to bring the new skins too.

Mini take offs are an option but spacers will be needed.  And inner lip has to be reduced.  I had a set done by Wheels America and the had the whole lip taken off which was too much.  Ended up with 8 mm spacers from Turner to make them fit.  Fittament issue was on the front because of the offset difference, with out spacers the tires will rub on the shock tower.

This is not something I would normally do or recommend but it was my kid's car and there just really arn't many options for wheels.  I tried a set of rims that were recommended by Discount tire but they didn't fit.  Hub was way too big and Discount couldn't come up with hubcentrics to make them fit.

Thanks for the tips, Trent. Can I assume we have dual Trents here?

I may just fork over the deaux and go with 17s. I talked with Discount yesterday and they can get me Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2s for $185 each. Maybe I can talk them down a bit if someone else wants a set? They have to be "custom made", i.e. TD does not have them sitting on a shelf ready to ship.
