Just wanted to formally introduce the new LTW EmPower 18" Mesh Wheels to the local BMWCCA community. Here's the scoop: the same manufacturer of the incredibly successful D-Force "LTW5" lightweight racing wheel made this new mesh design, named the EmPower wheel. This wheel is being built in 18 inch diameters with both 8.5" and 9.5" widths for an easy bolt-on Front & Rear set-up with no spacers needed. All EmPower wheels come with a machined lip and your choice of either Silver or Anthracite painted centers. The mesh styling and the same proprietary "Flow Forming" casting technology (which includes heat treating) allows for not only a striking look but also a lightweight yet street strong wheel design. The 18x8.5" weighs in at just 18.3 lbs, and the 18x9.5" weighs in at 20.8 lbs. This exceptional combination of price, looks, weight, and strength is hard to match with any other wheel maker.
Left to right: 18x8.5" Anthracite, 18x9.5" Anthracite, 18x8.5" Silver These wheels can be used on any BMW 3-series from 1992-2008 model years, including E36 (1992-1999 - 318i, 318is, 325i, 325is, 328i, 328is, 323is, and M3), E46 (1999-2005 323i, 323Ci, 325i, 325Ci, 328i, 328Ci, 330i, 330Ci), E90 (2006+ sedan - 325i, 325xi, 328i, 328xi, 330i, 330xi, 335i, 335xi), and E92 (2007+ coupe - 328i, 328xi, 335i, 335xi). Tires sizes chosen typically range from 225-255mm on the 8.5" (can be used front or rear) and 255-275mm on the 9.5" (rear only). 18x8.5" Offset is +40mm, 18x9.5" Offset is +43mm. Pics mounted on both E36 and E46 cars.
And a little bit of tech (checking the weights):
