| The individual runner intake on the LS1 above was indeed Fuel Injected. There were 4 or 5 different vendors at PRI with similar LS1 set-ups like that one. It involves a custom lower intake, velocity stacks, 8 throttle bodies, fuel rails and injectors. I did see that inline Barry Grant 4-barrel intake/carb in the latest HOT ROD or PHR magazine. Lemmie go look for it... http://www.barrygrant.com/images/BadManImg.htm
This is the new "BAD MAN" series of Inline Demon carburators from Barry Grant. Not fuel injected, no. There are several big downsides to carburators when compared to sequential fuel injection systems. Carbs have floats that can be effected by lateral or fore-aft g forces, they have metering jets and venturis that are effected by atmospheric pressure/humidity/temperature, accelerator pumps that have to be optimized, separate idle circuits that do not meter over much range, etc. Fuel injection is not effected by gravity or atmospheric pressure or the like.

| Though its not the C3 (my idea of a Chevy M3) that I imagined, the Holden Efijy, a retro designed show car, is built around the Corvette C6 mechanicals as I suggest. http://www.carbodydesign.com/concept-cars/2005/10-15-holden-efijy-concept/holden-efijy-concept.php Its currently being shown on the GM stand at the Detroit Auto Show with GM considering limited production. If they decide to produce it, it would be the first time GM and/or Chevy used the Corvette underpinnings for something other than the Vette. Suddenly the step to a C3 or a C5 is not quite as preposterous as it was before the Holden, though its still a far off dream. A short, lightweight, understated, sleek, sedan body on Vette guts, with a price around $ 45K would capture my heart(beat) and my deposit check.
